Step 4: Once done, you will receive a pop-up notification verifying your payment details.

Step 5: Click on continue to proceed to the next page.

Step 6: Enter your Aadhaar and PAN number.

Step 7: Click on ‘Validate’ button to move to the next page.

Step 8: Re-enter your PAN and Aadhaar number along with your name.

Step 9: Tick the two checkboxes underneath to proceed.

Step 10: Enter the OTP that you will get on your mobile, and click on ‘Validate’ button.

Once done, you will receive a notification regarding the confirmation of your request to link your PAN card and Aadhaar card. However, you can also do the same by sending a text message to concerned authorities. 

Steps to Link PAN to Aadhaar Via SMS

Below are some steps that you can follow to link your PAN to your Aadhaar via SMS:

Step 1: Type a text in the format UIDPAN <12-digit Aadhaar> <10-digit PAN>

Step 2: Send it to 567678 or 56161 from your registered mobile number.

Once the authorities verify your information, they will link the two immediately. However, a third method is also available that you can adopt for this process. 

Steps to Link PAN to Aadhaar Via Manual Form-Filling 

Below are the steps that you can follow to link PAN to Aadhaar via Manual Form-Filling

Step 1: Visit the nearest branch of NSDL

Step 2: Ask an official for an application form to link your Aadhaar and PAN card.

Step 3: Accurately fill in your details that are required.

Step 4: Attach the essential documents such as PAN card, Aadhaar card, and birth certificate.

Step 5: Check the details and submit the form.

Once done, the officials will link your PAN with your Aadhaar number. Ideally, after a few days, you should check if the officials have linked your PAN and Aadhaar numbers. 

Steps to Check If PAN Card Is Linked with Aadhaar Card

Below are some steps that you can follow to confirm if your PAN card is accurately linked to your Aadhaar card:

Step 1: Visit the official website of Income Tax.

Step 2: Login to your account using your date of birth, User ID, and password.

Step 3: Click on ‘Profile Settings’ tab to see the dropdown menu. 

Step 4: Select ‘Link Aadhaar’ option to move to the next page.

Step 5: Enter your PAN and Aadhaar number.

Step 6: Click on ‘View Link Aadhaar Card Status.

Step 1: Navigate to the official website of NSDL at https://nsdl.co.in/. 

Step 2: Select the option ‘Changes or Correction in existing PAN data or Reprint of PAN Card (No changes in Existing PAN Data)’

Step 3: Enter the essential details accurately.

Step 4: Complete the KYC details.

Step 5: Submit the duly filled form. 

Step 6: Make the necessary payments. 

You can follow the steps below to rectify information online for the Aadhaar card:

Step 1: Visit the official website of UIDAI at https://ssup.uidai.gov.in/. 

Step 2: Enter your Aadhaar number.

Step 3: Put in the CAPTCHA code accurately.

Step 4: Select OTP option.

Step 5: Enter the OTP that you have received on your registered mobile number to proceed.

Step 6: Make the changes applicable to your Aadhaar card.

Step 7: Upload the necessary documents to complete your application.
