Team Indus was the only Indian entrant and made it to the list of 16 finalists.

Entry was open to teams: “that can land a robot on the surface of the Moon, travel 500 meters over the lunar surface, and send images and data back to the Earth”, under terms and conditions of this contest.

The competition concluded on December 31, 2017. Each team had about 730 days to create this robotics based lander.
